How far did you run Wayne? I tried to keep it conservative on my maiden run (a little over 2.5 miles I think). At the end of the run the soles of my midfoot felt a little sore, my calves didn't even feel tired. Then I woke up the next morning - feet felt fine and calves were tight and a little sore. But man it was fun!
Yeah Keith, see what you've started! :) Kel, I thought your 2.5 sounded a little far, so I went out and ran ~3.9 (huh??). Hard to head back in when you're having fun and used to going farther. I think Keith's advice to take it easy is good/smart, as other parts of the body are affected as well. This morning my back was a bit stiff, and I determined that landing on the ground is probably more jarring than landing on snow.
