Rochester-Winona-Wabasha-Lake City-Red Wing-Saint Paul-Red Wing-Lake City-Rochester

About 250 miles... yeah, it's nice to have the motorcycle running again.

Speaking of running, I ran the SMU Trail Scamper in Winona this morning. It ended up being a 5K and was basically speed-work the whole way.

I'm wondering how everyone did at the Voyageur 50 miler today.

Colorado

Took a little vacation from work, Rochester, and running. Saw family, did some hiking, tennis, bike riding, went to a baseball game, and hung out.

Time to get back to it I guess.

Oh yeah, finally got the motorcycle in for a new starter... should have it back later this week. Vroom vroom!!

Half Voyageur

What a great day for a race. Nice course. Nice people.

I'll have to run it sometime.

It was fun being a spectator -- congrats to all the runners:

a couple notes:
- rumor has it the course is pretty rugged, though you can't tell by the pictures.
- there were more than 4 runners, really.

Afton Trail Run 25K

Thank you to race director John Storkamp and the Entire ATR Crew for putting on the Afton Trail Run 25K-50K today! There were lots of runners and it obviously takes a lot of people and work to put on such a big and high-quality event. I give them all 5 Stars!

I ran the 25K and had a good run. I was happy to beat last year's time by about 10 minutes. With all the ups and downs, I decided I should push a bit on the flatter, more runnable sections... and that seemed to work pretty well. Little did I know that by doing this I would actually start looking forward to the uphills. :)

some pre-race and finishing photos (didn't get everyone I would've liked to get) -- congrats to all, especially the guy in the last photo :
